Free to be boating launches!

Last night on the boat was a really awesome experience! We were lucky enough to arrive at Port Everglades just in time to see the world’s largest cruise ship, Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas, setting sail. Take a look at some of the footage we shot.
As we approached, the Coast Guard held all boat traffic so the massive ship could maneuver. All of the decks were lined with eager cruisers ready for their first night at sea and we were close enough to hear the music at the sail away party!
The Oasis of the Seas spanned almost the entire width of the inlet. Once she was clear, we and the rest of the cruise ships followed suit and headed out to sea. We got to wish Bon Voyage to the Carnival Freedom and the MSC Poesia too! If you’ve never seen cruise ship up close before, it is quite the sight. Port Everglades is one of the world’s busiest cruise ports and is the home port for the world’s two largest cruise ships, sisters Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas, so your chances of a personal encounter are pretty solid.
